My Batman Cupcakes in honor of the 'Dark Night' movie

Cut out a bat symbol on a card and use it as a template.
Use color mist. Lightly place the template over the cupcake and spray the mist over it.
Hold still till the mist settles.
And there you have a ghost like Bat symbol.

TIP:
Make sure your icing is dry to prevent the template from sticking to your cupcake :)

Also place paper towels down for a misting area. The mist will get everywhere.
Mist each cupcake separately and away from the other cupcakes. Mist will travel around to nearby areas.

Red Velvet Crinkle cookies

Recipe
Red Velvet Crinkle cookies by Duncan Hines

Perfectly crunchy outside and soft cakey inside. Crinkle cookies make great cupcake toppers.

Elvish Leaf Cupcake topper

In celebration of the upcoming move "The Hobbit" I created this Elvish leaf topper for 'Lord of the Rings' cupcakes.
Pear flavored salt water taffy. I got these from Cupid's Tooth candy shop.

First roll out your taffy with a rolling pin to make it flat.

Using a leaf template cut out your shape.

Press the blade of your knife into the taffy to create leaf designs.

Using the remaining taffy, squeeze and roll together to form a vine.

Roll out taffy to lengthen and stretch.

Shape the vine to curl around your leaf for an Elvish looking topper for your Lord of the Rings Cupcakes.
